Pine kernels are the edible seeds from the pinus sibirica variety. They have a wonderful strong taste which is delicious by itself or to use in sweet or savoury dishes. Try lightly toasting them and adding to pasta, or of course use them to make fresh pesto with basil, olive oil and parmesan cheese.
